Pocono Heritage Land Trust is seeking a Stewardship Manager to help maintain and improve the Open Space properties it protects. The Stewardship Manager will become familiar with all of the Land Trust’s properties and prioritize/coordinate projects necessary to maintain and improve the designated goals for each property (public access, habitat preservation, etc.). This position is part time, 20 hours/week, and reports to the Executive Director. Hours are flexible and pay rate is $20/hour.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties include but are not limited to:
Layout and maintenance of parking areas
Constructing information kiosks and signage
Posting boundaries
Trail work – design, layout, clearing and signage
Maintenance and seasonal clean-up of preserved properties
Assistance with trail mapping
Installing and maintaining footbridge and stream crossings
Monitoring conservation easements
Assisting with stream habitat restoration projects
Assisting with baseline property assessments
Coordinating subcontractors and volunteers
Assisting Ex. Director with other tasks as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS
Carpentry skills
Experience using power equipment (chainsaw, circular saw, etc.)
Ability to independently manage workload
High degree of comfort interacting with members of the public
Degree in Natural Resource Management or equivalent experience
