Natural Lands is a non-profit organization that saves open space, cares for nature, and connects people to the outdoors in eastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey. We’ve been at it since the early 1950s and, today, more than 2.5 million people live within five miles of lands under our permanent protection. Our Conservation Services Department advances the efforts of individuals and municipalities to preserve and steward open space using a variety of innovative methods.
Natural Lands is pleased to announce a new position which will perform as a liaison between our Finance and Administration Department and our Conservation Services Department. Bringing a high degree of accuracy and superior organizational skills, the Real Estate Accountant will work closely with project managers to collect and organize all real estate related information (paper and electronic) in accordance with Land Trust Alliance (LTA) and Financial Audit standards.
The successful candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field and a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience. Experience with real estate transactions will be a plus. We require a detail oriented individual with good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy. Database experience is required (Filemaker or Access is a plus.) We are looking for a demonstrated problem-solver with excellent communications skills and flexibility.
