Natural Lands Trust is the region’s largest land conservation organization and is dedicated to protecting the forests, fields, streams, and wetlands that are essential to the sustainability of life in eastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey. The Program Manager will work to create meaningful and inspiring opportunities for individuals and organizations to engage with Natural Lands Trust (NLT) and with nature. This will include conceiving, producing, and optimizing the impact of fun, inspiring events; developing and implementing recurring public programs at our preserves that serve adults and children; and, leveraging partnerships with businesses, organizations, schools, and other groups in order to extend organizational reach and impact.
The successful candidate will have:
•A Bachelor’s Degree and five-seven years of experience in event planning and program planning, with direct experience with large-scale events;
•A passion for Natural Land Trust’s mission and a strong desire to forge lasting relationships that support that mission;
•Creativity and a broad array of personal interests and experiences beyond conservation and the environment;
•Demonstrated ability to manage multiple dynamic projects and deadlines simultaneously;
•Ability to maintain calm and clarity of purpose in high-pressure situations;
•Excellent organizational skills, thoroughness, and attention to detail;
•Exceptional ability to interact with a wide variety of people in an engaging, constructive, and genuine manner;
•Outstanding written and oral communication skills;
•Demonstrated ability to take initiative and follow through on projects;
•Strong computer skills including proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet programs;
•Familiarity with WordPress is preferred.
•Familiarity with Raisers Edge fundraising database is a plus.
