Wildlands Conservancy is accepting applications for a full time Preserve Manager to be responsible for planning and executing natural resource management and restoration projects, public access and recreation projects, and assist in the maintenance of the physical property assets of the Conservancy.
The successful candidate will actively manage all of the Conservancy’s fee simple properties, form relationships with user groups and the communities, assist Summer Stewardship Crew with assigned duties/projects as directed, connect researchers and students to opportunities on our preserves, work cooperatively with the Property Associate on preserve infrastructure projects (building maintenance, signage, parking, trails, etc.), monitor the public use/access of the preserves and ensure conservation values are not being impaired, and assist with monitoring and reporting of Wildlands conservation easement portfolio.
The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree related to natural resource management, 3+ years’ experience in the conservation field – land and natural resource management, expert knowledge of native species of flora and fauna of Pennsylvania, experience in field—site visits, baseline analysis, land management and monitoring, proficiency in GIS and conservation law and natural resources protection, have the ability to lift 50lbs and hike 5 miles and possess a valid driver’s license and functioning personal vehicle.
