Wildlands Conservancy is accepting applications for a Part-Time Bike and Boat Coordinator to be responsible for assisting with the Bike and Boat program and annual Lehigh River Sojourn by providing leadership to paid staff and volunteers, including organizing and implementing trip logistics, scheduling staff and volunteers, and conducting routine and minor equipment maintenance.
The successful candidate will provide safety guidance and professional leadership on Bike and Boat and Sojourn Trips, provide input pertaining to staff recruitment and retention, assist with education components of trips, oversee the equipment relating to the program, conduct safety presentations and develop and implement safe and efficient trip logistics, promote the Bike and Boat program and other initiatives to businesses and schools, and assist with grant writing.
The successful candidate must have a degree in a related field or currently be seeking a degree in a related field, knowledge and experience with recreational aquatic activities, previous experience as a river guide,; leadership experience in and outdoor setting, be able to lift, move and load canoes and bikes, excellent communication skills, basic computer literacy in Microsoft Office, have patience and a sense of humor and should be First Aid/CPR certified or willing to obtain certification.
