Wildlands Conservancy is accepting applications for a full-time Land Protection Coordinator to be responsible for developing and maintaining the GIS database and producing maps primarily related to land conservation projects; and assist with development, negotiation and documentation of land protection projects.
The successful candidate will maintain the GIS database and produce maps, provide support to other conservation projects and technical assistance to other Conservancy staff; contact landowners interested in land preservation and explore ways the Conservancy can assist them and assist with the appropriate documents to accomplish protection of the property; establish and maintain contact with project partners, funding agencies, and public and private landowners; and assist with writing and managing grants.
Must hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geography or related field, be proficient with ArcGIS/GPS, possess good communication skills and have the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
