Under the direction of the Science Director and Restoration Coordinator, the Habitat Project Specialist will assist with the planning, implementation and cultivation of habitat enhancement projects at PDE, such as living shorelines, rain gardens, tree plantings, and wetland enhancements. For upland riparian and rain garden projects, the Habitat Project specialist will gradually assume a leadership role. The specialist will also provide technical assistance to corporate and community partners and volunteers to implement and promote habitat and water quality projects using best practices. The specialist will promote the use of native species and ecological principles in all activities. The specialist will also participate in other field, laboratory and office projects as requested.
