Seeking a part-time Assistant for a non-profit land trust located in northern Chester County, PA. Ideal candidate will have experience in grant-writing, donor-database management systems, special event planning and non-profit fundraising.
Candidate must have own transportation, and a BA in a related field preferred, but not required.
Must be proficient in Excel, Outlook, Microsoft, DonorPerfect or similar donor database. Photoshop and Constant Contact knowledge, a huge plus.
Hours required are 25 per week between the hours of 10am and 4pm and telecommuting is not acceptable for this position. Hourly wage is $15 per hour, with performance bonuses awarded for special projects.
The ideal candidate will be pleasant, have a good sense of humor, an eye for detail, be able to work independently, and with others, have excellent common sense and discretion. Professional phone demeanor, and appropriate office attire required. Experience with capital campaigns is huge plus. Special consideration will be given to candidates who have a working knowledge of WordPress platform, and social media expertise. Excellent grammar, proofreading and letter writing skills required.
Duties include: Entering information in the donor database, filing, answering phone calls, composing thank you letters, updating website as needed, composing e-blasts, organizing project-specific tasks as related to events, campaign planning and execution, taking minutes at event committee meetings, interfacing with major funders.
Must be available on Saturday, November 4 from 4pm to 11pm for a major event in Elverson.

This is an excellent opportunity for advancement to a full-time position for the right person, and a great learning opportunity to work with skilled and experienced leaders in the non-profit environmental field. This position reports to the Director of Development & Marketing.
