Controller
The Brandywine Conservancy & Museum of Art has an immediate opportunity for a Controller. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Administration, the Controller will manage fiscal controls and implement the financial systems necessary for Brandywine to achieve strong performance against strategic, financial, and operational goals and scale accordingly. This hands-on position will provide financial information about all company activities that will assist management, its Board of Trustees and other users in making educated economic decisions affecting our future. Provides timely preparation, interpretation and analysis of financial statements. Conducts quantitative analysis of financial data. Directs the development and administration of the accounting systems, practices and procedures which reflect operating costs and budgets. Responsible for all accounting functions including payroll.
Successful candidates will have qualifications that include:
1. Ten years of hands-on accounting managerial experience
2. Solid financial analysis experience in a non-for-profit environment
3. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
4. MBA or CPA certification preferred.
5. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and Power Point.
