The Lancaster Conservancy is seeking a Community & Volunteer Coordinator to engage and activate community members of all ages to protect and restore our natural lands. For 50 years the Lancaster Conservancy has been providing wild and forested lands and clean waterways for our community. We manage over 6,300 acres, with 40 plus miles of hiking trails and 37 plus miles of streams.
Position Description:
The Community & Volunteer Coordinator builds relationships with existing and new stakeholders including volunteers, businesses, municipalities and other community partners to advance the mission of the Lancaster Conservancy. This includes two main focus areas 1) creating a vision for, scaling and managing educational programming at Climbers Run Nature Center. 2) Developing a robust volunteer land steward program including facilitation of trainings and work days. The Community & Volunteer Coordinator works closely with the SVP of Community Impact and team to scale community outreach through events, workdays and presentations that deepen our communities understanding of the important role our forested lands and clean waterways play in creating a higher quality of life in Lancaster County.
