The Accounting Assistant will maintain Natural Lands Trust’s accounts payable system and assist with a variety of special projects. This is a regular, full-time position at 30 hours per week with salary based on qualifications and experience. The current benefit package includes medical, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan, sick time, holidays and vacation.
The Successful Applicant must have:
•An Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field, or two years of accounting experience in lieu of a degree;
•Prior experience in Accounts/Payable; Good understanding of accounting principles such as debits, credits and journal entries;
•Good organizational skills and strong detail orientation;
•Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously;
•Ability to maintain accuracy at all times;
•Ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment and require minimal guidance;
•Good problem solving and communication skills;
•Good computer skills; Proficient in programs such as spreadsheet (MS Excel) and word processing (MS Word); Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains or a similar accounting system will be a plus;
