Hawk Mountain Receives Conservation Education Donation from PPL

03/29/2017

Visitors to Hawk Mountain Sanctuary will continue to enjoy educational programs, events, workshops, and lectures, thanks in part to support from PPL Electric Utilities.

PPL electric utilities has awarded $5,000 in Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) funding to Hawk Mountain. This grant will support the Sanctuary’s educational programming available for school groups and to the public.

“We are thrilled to have PPL as a corporate partner who supports our efforts in conservation education,” said Geri Unger, president of Hawk Mountain.

“PPL is committed to improving the communities where our customers and employees live and work,” said Carol Obando-Derstine, Regional Affairs director for PPL. “Organizations like Hawk Mountain improve the quality of life in our region, and we are pleased to be able to support them.”
