Delaware Highlands Conservancy Welcomes New Staff Member

08/23/2018

Delaware Highlands Conservancy (DHC) has hired Trey Talley as its new land protection associate. Talley joins DHC from North Carolina after recently completing an AmeriCorps position at the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy as its land protection and education associate. He will be assisting DHC with all of its land protection projects, including serving as the primary contact for initial inquiries from landowners, analyzing prospective and current land transactions, and assisting with the acquisition of new easements.

Talley has a background in land protection, environmental finance, and community development. Most recently, he completed an AmeriCorps term as a land protection and education associate at Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy in Asheville, NC. During graduate school, he worked as a research assistant at the Environmental Finance Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Before that, he worked as a financial analyst for a community development bank in Chicago.

Talley’s favorite protected place is Great Smoky Mountains National Park. His hobbies include fly fishing, hiking, exercising, and exploring new places.
