Brandywine Conservancy to Present Town Hall Webinar to Discuss Progress and Solicit Feedback on Birmingham Hill Master Plan

05/15/2020

The Brandywine Conservancy will host a virtual public Town Hall webinar to present work-in-progress on its Birmingham Hill Preserve Master Plan on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 7 p.m. Presented in partnership with Birmingham Township and Brandywine Battlefield Park, the Conservancy will present an overview of the vision and preliminary ideas for the historic Birmingham Hill Preserve. In addition to the presentation, the Conservancy will solicit comments and feedback from the community to aid the development of the early phase of the master plan. Registration for the live Zoom discussion is available on www.brandywine.org/events.

Located in the heart of the historic Brandywine Battlefield, the 113-acre tract of land known as Birmingham Hill Preserve was recently purchased by the Brandywine Conservancy & Museum of Art with generous funding from public and private partners. This property is where some of the fiercest fighting occurred during the historic Battle of Brandywine. Work for the Birmingham Hill Preserve Master Plan began in July 2019 and is likely to be completed by September 2020. Once finished, the Birmingham Hill Preserve will be open as a public recreational resource to honor the history of the Battle of Brandywine.
