Conservation Easement Assistance Program

Reminder: Effective for easements recorded after 11/30/2007, grant limits are $6,000 for easements based on a PALTA model document and $3,000 for others. (“Based on” does not mean “identical to”.) Download the models and supporting commentary at the Model Documents area of conserveland.org.

Description

• Completing conservation and trail easements
  Up to $6,000 per project ($3,000 if not based on PALTA model)
• Amending and restating older easements
  Up to $6,000 per project ($3,000 if not based on PALTA model)
• Establishing or updating baseline documentation
  Up to $2,500 per project
• Installing signs on eased properties
  Up to $700 per project
