With guidance and training from Natural Lands Trust staff, the Facility Rental Assistant will oversee rental events at ChesLen Preserve’s Lenfest Center facility. Individuals must be professional, responsible, enthusiastic, interested in working with the public, and have the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Facility Rental Assistants will assist rental clients with set-up, tear-down, and coordination of events at the Lenfest Center. They will greet rental clients; provide on-site support and troubleshooting during events, and answer questions about the facility, ChesLen Preserve, and Natural Lands Trust. Additionally, Facility Rental Assistants will ensure clients and guests adhere to Lenfest Center rental policies.
•Arrive at Lenfest Center prior to set-up time for event to greet client;
•Assist clients with all aspects of set-up and tear-down;
•Assist client with logistics of event including A/V system, table and chair configuration, parking, fireplaces, etc.;
•Ensure guests are adhering to rental policies;
•Answer questions about the facility, preserve, and NLT;
•Ensure facility and grounds are cleaned and free of debris, tables and chairs stored, pavilion string lights unplugged, all A/V equipment turned off, fires doused in fireplaces, and all building security protocols are in place before leaving.
•Facility Rental Assistants will be required to complete facility training with ChesLen staff.
•Assistants will also be required to submit background checks with NLT.
•Facility Rental Assistants are primarily needed to work weekends between March and October. Rental event hours can vary, but a majority of rentals are between 5 and 7 hours in length.
•Reach, lift, carry, push, pull for placement and setup of event support items (tables, chairs, signs, displays, etc.)
•Ability to lift and carry 20-35 pounds and to walk and stand on uneven terrain;
•Position will require a flexible schedule with the ability to work frequent weekends, particularly during the fall and spring event seasons.
