The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) protects the environment and public health in Montgomery County through a variety of programs that promote clean air, clean water, and clean land in a sustainable way. DEP is seeking an experienced senior manager to provide day-to-day planning, execution and management of the Stormwater Management Capital Improvements Program (CIP). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the planning, design, permitting and construction program for the County’s watershed management program to meet the County’s Municipal Separate Stormwater Sewer System (MS4) Permit requirements. The position is responsible for development of a multi-year strategy and plan for targeting the Department’s Stormwater Management Capital Improvements Program (CIP) budget on needs in County watersheds, and managing the coordination of resources within the Division to design and execute this plan. The position also develops the six-year Stormwater Management CIP budget; an annual procurement plan for planning/design and construction contract awards to support the multi-year CIP budget plan; and resource and staffing requirements for the Division in support of the CIP budget process.
