Dauphin County Parks and Recreation is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Environmental Educator. An employee in this position provides environmental education & recreation programming for the County Parks system; plans, develops & implements environmental education & recreation programs; develops interpretive displays; establishes & maintains liaisons with community organizations & educational resources; collaborates with & supervises volunteers, interns & community groups; organizes & deploys same in projects of research, construction, presentation, preservation & upkeep of the parks. Position requires a flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends, as necessary. Min. salary: $34,465. Salary is commensurate with experience. Min. quals: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Education, Environmental Science, or a closely related field plus 2 or more years’ experience in environmental education, environmental science and/or nature center administration required.
