Pike County Conservation District is accepting applications for a full-time Conservation Education and Outreach Coordinator. This is a challenging position, involving but not limited to, planning and implementing natural resource conservation education and outreach programs and events, developing and assembling outreach communications, and coordinating opportunities for reaching target audiences in the community.
Requires strong motivation and initiative, excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and computer knowledge. Experience in media outreach, public relations, marketing, and social media is required. Bachelor’s Degree in environmental education, environmental science or a related field, and one to two years of related experience, or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communication with science or environmental minor, and one to two years of related experience.
A valid/current Pennsylvania driver’s license and all Child Abuse History Clearances are required. Based on programming, night and weekend work hours may be required as part of the position. Competitive salary plus County benefits package.
