The EAC Network Conference is held in conjunction with the PA Land Conservation Conference and is available only to those working with EACs and municipal officials.

The EAC Network Conference is held in conjunction with the 2018 Pennsylvania Land Conservation Conference. You may register for any of the conference’s seminars or field trips held April 12-14. Suggested seminars are noted below.
A $25 walk-in fee will be applied to anyone who has not pre-registered online.

Networking Breakfast — 8:00 am – 9:00 am
Join fellow EAC members and municipal officials for this full breakfast: discuss issues impacting local municipalities, share ideas and meet new contacts.
Morning Program — 9:00 am – 11:30 am
- Local Power: 100% Renewable Energy (30 minute presentation) – Across the country, municipalities are taking the renewable plunge. Learn how EACs can help municipalities adopt ambitious energy goals and hear from those working on the ground in PA to make it happen.

- Protecting riparian buffers with a Natural Resource Protection Overlay
- MicroGrids: what are they and how will they change our world?
- Facilitated Discussion
- Participants have the ability to develop this agenda and are encouraged to submit topics for this discussion.
Lunch — 11:30 am – 1:00 pm
Lunch is included with your registration. In addition to networking time, lunch features the presentation of the Local Government Conservation Leadership Award.

An Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) is a group of 3-7 people, appointed by a municipality’s elected officials, that advises the elected officials, as well as the planning commission and park and recreation board, on the protection, conservation, management, promotion and use of natural resources within the municipality.
